The Early Intervention System of

Special Child Health Services assists in the procurement of coordinated and comprehensive services for children, birth to age 21, who have a chronic health condition, disability or developmental delay. Assistance includes, but is not limited to:

Referrals to Catastrophic Illness in Children Relief Fund regarding astronomical medical bills of children.
Sliding-scale fees for hearing aides, prostheses and pulmonary pharmaceuticals for clients whose insurance does not cover such items.
Entry point for Early Intervention Services, which offers a development evaluation, completed in the home, for children from birth to age three.
