The Salem County Alcohol and Drug Abuse services office offers education information/ referral and treatment services to indigent residents of Salem County.  The County office is a valuable resource for Salem County residents seeking information on addiction or for those seeking help for themselves or a loved one.

    The Municipal Alliance for the Prevention of Substance Abuse (MAPSA) program is a volunteer community based prevention organization.  A Municipal Alliance Committee is established in every municipality in Salem County. The committee plans and implements prevention programs in the schools and community for all age groups.  The county office acts as a resource center and offers technical assistance for the individual MAPSA’s.  Various workshops are offered to the community along with the Vial of Life Program.  Presentations are available during the day or evening by appointment.
